ABOUT ME

I trained as a counsellor for several years.  Throughout this time I became increasingly convinced about the benefits of talking therapy.  As a result I strongly believe in the potential for growth and change, that counselling can bring.

​I have a breadth and depth of experience from diverse settings.  As well as my private practice, I provide counselling to a charity which supports adult clients who have experienced physical and emotional trauma.​  Further (previous) experience includes work for an Oxford-based charity providing counselling to survivors of sexual abuse.  Before training to become a counsellor, I worked in the corporate world for 20 years.

​I am an accredited registered member of the National Society of Counselling and Psychotherapy (NCPS) and on the Professional Standards Authority register.​  I undertake monthly supervision, in which my work with clients is overseen.  Additionally I keep up to date with developments in the counselling world and undertake ongoing training to ensure my practice remains professional, ethical and relevant.​  I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, to individuals aged 18 and over.  ​I am fully insured for professional and public liability and compliant with data protection laws.​

My therapy office is in a rural setting and separate from my house, with off-street parking.  It is easily accessible by wheelchair.​​​​
